Palmetto Threads
and Fabrics was founded in 1990 by Tommy Gaffney to distribute
industrial sewing threads and specialty weaving yarns. Polypropylene
webbing for the bulk container industry was added a year later. The
company has continued to grow by adding new products for the geotextile
and erosion control markets. Products are sold throughout the U.S. as
well as Canada and Mexico.
Tommy Gaffney has over 30 years of textile experience, including
manufacturing
and sales. Lisa McElhannon, Administrative Manager, works with customers
and suppliers to assure on-time deliveries. Gary Gaffney joined the
company in 1997as special projects manager, In 1999 he became Vice
President.
